In Person Meetings Cancelled Circumstances around the novel coronavirus continue to change rapidly, and with great care and attention to CDC and other public health recommendations, the Advisory Council has decided to suspend our in-person Sangha gatherings, at least through the end of the July - we will continue to re-assess as we move forward. We are trying to be mindful and compassionate for the health and well-being of us all, and this seems the wisest action to take.
Virtual Sangha Active!! But! We are still meeting!!! We are using a Zoom platform as a digital meeting space for us to socially connect across distance. Refer to our ASBS calendar for meeting information. Sessions do require a passcode, so please contact us if you need this information.
We seek to stretch and to develop new rhythms of interaction that can sustain both our health security and our sense of community.
Lovingkindness: Cultivating a Spacious Heart
Join us for a 1/2 day retreat,
Sunday, March 21 10:00 am -1:00 pm
Teachers: Stephanie Swann & Susan Reviere
Let’s take a pause from our busy lives to come together to practice Metta. Join Stephanie and Susan for three hours of lovingkindness.
In addition to sitting and walking meditation, short Dhamma talks will explore how this powerful quality can be embraced and developed.
In the Metta Sutta, the Buddha instructed us to cultivate a boundless heart free of obstructions and without hate. It is this heart when nurtured that can reconnect us with the whole of life and lead us toward freedom. Please sit with us as we cultivate this heart-full quality.
We hope you will join us.
Note: we will open the Zoom session at 9:30am to allow time for gathering and settling in before the 10:00 start time.
